1923 is shedding some much-needed light on the dark history of the Catholic schools for Indigenous children which were government-funded boarding schools intended to assimilate Indigenous children into American culture. Children were ripped from their families and taken to these schools — sometimes hundreds of miles away from their homes — where they were stripped of their names and identities, often abused and neglected, and in one school in Michigan over 230 children died between the years of 1893 and 1931.

Prince Harry has started the media tour for his new book, Spare, but the British people are getting tired of hearing from him. (Having watched his interview with Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes, I will say the most heartbreaking revelation was that he believed Princess Diana was still alive somewhere for many many years after her death.)
