foolish watcher

Can we please stop canceling shows that have already been renewed? That just seems cruel.

Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

Good on the Stranger Things cast for joining together to negotiate a heavy pay raise for the final season of the series. They will be one of the highest-paid TV casts ever.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City‘s Jen Shah has been sentenced to 6.5 years in jail for being the leader of a “wide-ranging telemarketing fraud scheme that victimized thousands of innocent people.” She has requested to be placed at FPC Bryan here in Texas, which is a minimum security federal prison camp.

The family of a driver on the set of American Horror Story: Double Feature who died of COVID is suing 20th Century Studios, Ryan Murphy Productions, and the Walt Disney Co. alleging that the production flaunted safety practices.

Yes, maybe The Simpsons predicted Fox being owned by Disney, but they did not predict 9/11. That’s just an unfortunate coincidence.

1923 is shedding some much-needed light on the dark history of the Catholic schools for Indigenous children which were government-funded boarding schools intended to assimilate Indigenous children into American culture. Children were ripped from their families and taken to these schools — sometimes hundreds of miles away from their homes — where they were stripped of their names and identities, often abused and neglected, and in one school in Michigan over 230 children died between the years of 1893 and 1931.

Prince Harry has started the media tour for his new book, Spare, but the British people are getting tired of hearing from him. (Having watched his interview with Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes, I will say the most heartbreaking revelation was that he believed Princess Diana was still alive somewhere for many many years after her death.) In any event, looks like he’s been written out of King Charles’ coronation.

Chris Harrison has addressed his being fired from The Bachelor. If you’re interested.

Here’s your weird fact of the day: John Williams composed a three-and-a-half minute long theme song for tonight’s College Football Playoff National Championship. Which reminds me: that game is on ESPN tonight, but based on what I see on social media, I suspect you already knew that.
