Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

LOOK. LISTEN. It is literally painful for me to admit that Ted Cruz is doing something I agree with, but here we are. (Ouch.) But my despised senator from Texas, along with Oregon’s Ron Wyden, have introduced the Justice Against Weaponized Bureaucratic Overreach to Networked Expression Act, or the JAWBONE Act, creating a new pathway for Americans to sue government officials who pressure private companies into suppressing protected speech. Think of it as the “Jimmy Kimmel Act,” because that whole stupid kerfuffle is what inspired this. It’s infuriating that we have to create a law to deal with what should be clearly protected speech, but one of the things we are going to have to do in the coming years is fill in all the holes in our system — otherwise known as “norms” — that this administration has sought to exploit because there was no law expressly forbidding them from doing so. As much as it pains me to write, I hope this bill — from Ted Cruz of all people, TED CRUZ! — passes. (OW ow ow ow ow.)

The minute the Ellisons and Bari Weiss take over CNN, Kara Swisher is out, thankyouverymuch.

You can still buy parts of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Nate “I’m Not Political” Bargatze attended the UFC event at the White House and is now mad that people noticed. And here’s the thing, it’s fine for Bargatze to be to the right politically, or even be MAGA, but just own it, dude, instead of trying to play both sides.

Your reminder that in real life, Nurse Dana has collected the most improbable list of husbands.

A lot of people watched the NBA finals? This is my shocked face.

Someone is SO MAD she’s no longer on The View.

Brooklyn Beckham leaning into his family feud in this ad for DoorDash is pretty genius, and bonus points for pissing off Piers Morgan.

The Simpsons have predicted the future more times than you might realize.

Right on, Sir Ian.

Feel better soon, Nick Swardson!

Get well soon, Jeremy Clarkson. And fuck cancer.
