Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

Alan Cumming has written an apology for the whole BAFTAs mess, calling it a “triggering shit show.”

Jack Schlossberg is still real mad at Ryan Murphy.

Quick question, Los Angeles: ARE YOU HIGH?

Oh no, there was a person of color in your new Game of Thrones show, so now it’s “WOKE.” This is definitely something you should be angry about and make nasty comments about the actress in question, you trolls.

Jon Stewart has a thought or two about our new forever war: “How quickly the right has gone from ‘peace through strength’ to ‘peace through war.'”

I’m not here to judge anyone for getting plastic surgery: you do you. But it must feel shitty, or weird at the very least, to have to have people put out official statements saying you are who you are and were not being played by an impersonator. Or weirder, have to reassure people you don’t have a clone.

President Rashneck will attend the White House Correspondents’ Dinner for the first time, now that the threat of a comedian hosting it has been removed from the table.

Apple TV will now be available on Roku. (It wasn’t previously?)

Justin Clarke-Samuel, an actor in Netflix’s Supacell, has been jailed for 12 years in fatal hit-and-run car crash in the U.K.

Sending Bruce Campbell healing thoughts. Fuck cancer.

Love is dead.

#MeToo

Crispin Glover has been accused of battery, fraud, malicious prosecution, and other crimes by a woman who claims he hired her as an assistant, but he “tracked her, assaulted her, and entreated her to ‘serve him as a live in girlfriend/sex slave.'”

Glover denies the allegations and insists that he was the victim in the relationship: “Mr. Glover denies these baseless allegations in the strongest possible terms. The reality is that on March 2, 2024, Mr. Glover was the victim of an unprovoked felony assault by Jane Doe at his Los Angeles residence. Mr. Glover called LAPD, which came to the scene, investigated, and arrested Jane Doe.”

The onslaught of Jeffrey Epstein news is frankly too much (I could spend all day writing about Hilary Clinton and Bill Clinton’s testimony: what do you MEAN Nancy Mace was grilling Hilary about taking a donation from Howard Lutnick in 2001 when HOWARD LUTNICK IS CURRENTLY THIS ADMINISTRATION’S COMMERCE SECRETARY? How about you BRING HOWARD LUTNICK IN FOR QUESTIONING, NANCY, IF YOU’RE SO INTERESTED?), so I’m going to just leave here this very well-written essay about the nuance of grooming and how the trauma of abuse that one Monica Lewinsky wrote for Vanity Fair instead.

Steven Sunday, a cast member of the current season of Love is Blind, has been accused by multiple women of sexual assault. He denies the allegations and is suing one accuser.

Robert Edwards, the inventor of the Squatty Potty, was arrested for child pornography.

Christina Applegate has opened up about being abused by a female babysitter when she was a small child.

Lisa Rinna claims Leonardo DiCaprio hit on her daughters. (Side note: Lisa Rinna is 62; Leonardo DiCaprio is 51. Her daughters are 24 and 27.)

Oh great, Jonathan Majors — who was convicted of assaulting his girlfriend — is planning his comeback and will be making a movie with …. The Daily Caller. Yep. That math maths.

And Max Landis, who was accused of abuse by eight different women, has been enlisted by Paramount to write the new G.I. Joe movie. Cry, cry for all the poor men whose lives were completely ruined by #MeToo!

Neve Campbell revealed that the producers of Scream 6 offered her an insulting amount of money to be in the film, which is why she declined the role. “I just feel like if I was a male […] on the sixth installment after 25 years, this would not be the number and so it doesn’t feel right to me.” Good for her.

Joan Lunden, the former host of Good Morning America, has revealed being sexually harassed by her producer in her early days of broadcasting.

Hey, maybe could we not be irresponsible with Hugh Hefner’s personal scrapbooks filled with compromising photos of women, and possibly underage girls? That’d be great.

Breaking News: Kids are not exactly sheltered or protected on movie and TV sets.

Some man had the actual audacity to give Margot Robbie a book urging her to lose weight.

If you or someone you know has experienced sexual assault, you can call the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-HOPE (4673), which routes the caller to their nearest sexual assault service provider. You can also search for your local center here
