I am heartbroken over the violence in Minneapolis, and even more heartbroken that we’ve done absolutely NOTHING about gun violence and mass shootings after Uvalde, after Las Vegas, after Sandy Hook, after Columbine, and on and on and on. As Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said, “Don’t say this is about ‘thoughts and prayers’ right now — These kids were literally praying.” DO SOMETHING.
Here are some good therapy dogs doing their jobs:
@elliegoldenlife Sometimes all it takes is a smile 💛 We’re honored to volunteer with the @Children’s National Hospital pet therapy program, alongside more than 20 amazing dog teams and two full-time facility dogs. It’s hard to put into words what these moments mean, but the smiles say everything. Some of these kids are facing unimaginable challenges, and for a little while, they just get to be kids again. If you’ve ever thought about getting involved in therapy dog work, this is your sign. The world could always use more of this kind of joy 🐾 #therapydog #spreadsmiles #goldenretrieverlife #childrensnational
@macombcc Safe to say that our students loved to see therapy dogs on campus! 🐶 #finalsweek #communitycollege #studentlife #collegelife #finalsbelike #finals #campus #campuslife
@sierra_stone98 Had just found out my chemo treatment plan a few minutes before the therapy dogs made their rounds & Gracie just happened to also be my favorite breed, golden retriever! Made all my emotions surface! 😭 #cancersucks🎗 #nonhodgkinslymphoma #therapydogs #fyp #fromthedrafts
