The first official renewal of the season is … unexpected.

We have our first official renewal of the season and the second probable — but it hasn’t happened yet — cancelation. Fox has renewed the animated series Bless the Harts for a second season, but Bluff City Law over on NBC is probably doomed. While NBC hasn’t axed Bluff City Law, they aren’t making any more episodes after the 10th episode wraps production next week. It’s not all terrible news: they aren’t destroying the sets or soundstages in Memphis, because the plan is to see if the ratings improve. But the bad news is that NBC bought 16 scripts — and they’re only making 10. So, don’t get too attached, is what I’m saying. ANYWAY, at that link is my updated renew/cancel gallery with my best guesses as for the rest of the schedule’s chances if you’re curious.

Emilia Clarke remains sad about the ending of Game of Thrones: “Everyone is going to have their own opinion and they’re fully entitled to them. It’s art and it’s to be dissected and taken on in whatever individual way you wish. And if you’re sad that the show is done and you’re sad because you enjoyed watching it, then that’s sad. It sucks this wasn’t the perfect ending that people were hoping for, but I truly believe we would never have made everyone happy.”

That all said, playing Daenerys did give Clarke one thing: LADY BALLS. Indeed.

The streaming wars are about to begin, and it’s looking like Disney+ will have the upper hand thanks to their enormous library. Stay tuned.

Aw, Busy Tonight was resurrected on The Affair last night. R.I.P., Busy Tonight.

Jane Fonda and Sam Waterston were arrested together at a climate change protest. This season of Grace & Frankie is going in an interesting direction …

Pro-Hong Kong and Tibet protestors attended the Brooklyn Nets and Toronto Raptors preseason game this weekend. GOOD. KEEP IT IN THEIR FACES, Y’ALL.

Megyn Kelly and Matthew Dowd had a Twitter slap fight when Dowd suggested that Kelly and Lauer should go away and never come back. (He’s not wrong.)

Oh no, John Cho! Get better soon!

Impeachment Corner!

Just a couple of stories from over the weekend while we wait for the deposition machine to fire up again (Bill Taylor, the ambassador in those texts who was all, “HOLD UP WHAT THE QUID PRO QUO IS GOING ON IN HERE?” he is going to testify tomorrow and I’m not saying that I think the fact that one of my husband’s law partners is representing him is the coolest thing happening in this whole impeachment business, but I’m not saying that it ISN’T cool, either):

After the White House via Mick Mulvaney announced that the only hotel in the whole entire country that was suitable to host the G7 just happened to be Trump’s Miami Airport bedbug-riddled resort, Republicans told President Emoluments that they couldn’t possibly defend this flagrant shitting upon the Constitution. As a result, President Petulant Baby tweeted out that they weren’t going to host the summit there, after all. THANKS FOR NOTHING, CRAZY DEMOCRATS AND FAKE NEWS MEDIA.

He’s still whining about it as of this morning:

Of course, maybe his tantrum shouldn’t be so surprising. Mick “Cannon Fodder” Mulvaney went on Chris Wallace’s show on Fox News yesterday where he said that everyone was SO SHOCKED that the announcement of the G7 summit at the Miami Airport Hotel didn’t go over well because President Bedbug, “still considers himself in the hospitality business.”

I mean. You guys.

Speaking of that Chris Wallace interview, the other hilarious story from this weekend is that even his closest lackeys, they are struggling to defend all of this bullshit.

Mulvaney, you’ll remember, dropped not only the news about the G7 Emoluments Party in a press conference on Thursday, but he also announced that they TOTALLY did a quid pro quo with Ukraine, before shouting at the press, “GET OVER IT.” Well, he would like you to know, Chris Wallace of Fox News, that you did not hear him say the things you heard him say. But Chris Wallace is all, “ROLL THE TAPE.”

Also not doing great on the Sunday political shows, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo who got rolled by ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos when asked about Mick Mulvaney’s admission that they committed a quid pro quo.

You’re out of your depth, Mike.

Meanwhile, the Republicans are planning to vote on a resolution to censure Adam Schiff for his handling of the impeachment inquiry because they don’t know what else to do.

President Doofus is threatening to sue CNN for biased reporting of its impeachment coverage. Even more hilariously, he’s aligning himself with that fraudster James O’Keefe’s Veritas Project who filmed some supposed CNN employees talking about how Don Lemon is “blatantly left.” LOLOLOL OK. Good luck with all of that.

And then there’s this. ARE YOU LISTENING, GOP?:
