The headline here is that Josh Radnor and the cast of How I Met Your Mother are not besties who talk every day. There’s no beef or anything; they were just co-workers, and that’s how it is sometimes. So, they’ve made a movie, Primetime, about Chris Hansen and his show To Catch a Predator. It stars Robert Pattinson, and it looks bonkers. A Christian band is suing Netflix over KPop Demon Hunters … and considering they have been around since the year 2000 and are called Demon Hunters, they might just have a good case.
Meanwhile, the judge overseeing the lawsuit brought by the states says she will not rule on whether or not the states have to put up a nearly $2 billion bond until September 24, pushing the decision very close to the beginning of the “ticking fee” payout set to begin in October.
Charter Communications has just bought Cox Communications. It’s now the largest cable operator in the country. Well, it already was, but now it’s even BIGGER.

The Hayden Pantierre story isn’t going away anytime soon. The DEA is now involved in an investigation into her death, and eyebrows are raised over the fact that her abusive ex-boyfriend was there when she died. Of course, he wasn’t the only person who abused Pantierre: her mother put out a tone-deaf statement following her passing, which Gayle King, Holly Robinson Peete, and Ruby Rose have all called out.
Sandra Bullock is opening up about her partner, Bryan Randall’s private battle with ALS, and what a dark, isolating period it was for her. I hope she has found some light and peace in the years since. And fuck this disease.

- America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders has been renewed at Netflix for a fourth season.
- Sterling Point has been renewed at Prime Video for a second season.
- Good American Family has been renewed for a second season on Hulu. It will focus on Lorena Bobbitt.

- Legends, a spinoff of Sons of Anarchy in which the cast returns playing fictionalized versions of themselves, has been ordered at FX.
- Kildare, a prequel to Outer Banks, is in development at Netflix.
- Lineker, a docuseries about Gary Lineker, is in the works at Prime Video.
- Drowning in Paper Flowers is being adapted into a TV series.
