‘Coyote vs. Acme’ — which David Zaslav never watched — never had a chance

Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

Colin Jost is your host of the White House Correspondents’ Dinner this year.

Oh hey, it’s David Zaslav and other Warner Bros. Discovery executives giving creators and fans the finger again. So, remember last fall when it came out that the completed, and well-screened Coyote vs. Acme movie was going to be shelved by Warner Bros. Discovery as part of their tax scheme, and there was an OUTCRY! on the Internet and so Warner Bros. Discovery was like “FINE, WE’LL SHOP IT AROUND, WE GUESS.” Yeah, so Netflix, Amazon, and Paramount all made offers for the movie, but Warner Bros. Discovery didn’t like any of them and they are on the verge of shelving it forever.

What made the situation even more appalling is that, according to a source close to the project, the four Warner Bros. executives responsible for making this decision – CEOs and co-chairpersons of Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy, along with Warner Bros. Pictures Animation president Bill Damaschke and embattled CEO and president of Warner Bros. Discovery David Zaslav – hadn’t even seen the finished version of the movie.

Zaslav never saw the movie at all. De Luca and Abdy saw a “director’s cut,” and Damaschke saw the first audience preview.

Jon Cryer has no interest in working with Charlie Sheen again and can you blame him?

AMC says that the current television “environment is confusing, expensive, and essentially forces consumers to recreate the cable bundle on their own at twice the price.” NOT WRONG.

In other news, AMC is losing a lot of advertising revenue. One idea, guys: LESS WALKING DEAD CONTENT.

Tucker Carlson proved to be Vladimir Putin’s useful idiot, just like everyone said he would be.

Bridgerton‘s Phoebe Dynevor would like you to feel sorry for beautiful young actresses.

Mo’Nique went on Shannon Sharpe’s podcast Club Shay Shay and pulled a Katt Williams, talking all kinds of shit about Oprah, Tyler Perry, Tiffany Haddish, D.L. Hughley, Kevin Hart and others. And just to bring this full circle, now she’s going on tour with Katt.

AYYYYYY!!

S.W.A.T. star Shemar Moore notes that this is the show’s final season — but it doesn’t have to be … (Fun FoolishWatcher Fact: S.W.A.T. is why I am Hate Blogging La Brea. My husband wanted me to blog S.W.A.T. and came up with the whole idea of me giving the readers a vote on what I should recap, believing that he could manipulate the vote. The rest is infuriated blog history.)

This is amazing and hilarious and I would like to note that Prince William and my son are the same height, which makes Tom Cruise roughly my height:

Trevor Noah dropped a new stand-up special on Fortnite and I have no idea how any of that works.

Wil Wheaton is taking the whole Larry David/Elmo thing a little hard.

The Oscars have added a new Oscar: Outstanding Achievement In Casting.
