The Critics Choice Awards were on last night (on The CW, no less, as Seth Rogan pointed out, is the critics’ least favorite network), and in the television categories, Better Call Saul and Abbott Elementary were big winners. I have no complaints about any of these winners, honestly. I mean, should Rhea Seehorn have been recognized? Maybe. But I’m always going to give that one to Jennifer Coolidge, sorry not sorry.
In terms of speeches, Brendan Fraser gave the speech of the night, echoing the messages that Ke Huy Quan, Michelle Yeoh, and Jennifer Coolidge all sent in their Golden Globe speeches, about being appreciative of being given a second chance in this business.

Worth noting: Brendan Fraser was nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance in The Whale as well, but did not attend the ceremony out of principle. According to Fraser, he had been sexually assaulted by former HFPA President Philip Berk in 2003, and was blacklisted when he came forward with the accusations.
“I have more history with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association than I have respect for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association,” he said. “No, I will not participate.”
He added, “It’s because of the history that I have with them, and my mother didn’t raise a hypocrite. You can call me a lot of things, but not that.”
I’m happy for him that he was given his moment at the Critics Choice Awards.
Kathryn Hahn is teasing there might be some singing in Agatha: Coven of Chaos on Disney+.
After I was being mean and making fun of her moon costume, Houston’s R’Bonney Gabriel won Miss Universe. Some are saying the pageant was rigged in USA’s favor, but Gabriel deserved to win just for not collapsing under the weight of that ridiculous costume, if you ask me.

Lisa Rinna gave her first interview after leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills following a tumultuous season. Basically, she sticks by her Kathy Hilton story; says they’ve made nice since; and that season 12 was rough following her mother’s death. She also talked some shit about the other cast members, saying that Kyle wants to be liked too much, Garcelle and Sutton are going to have to show up for a change, and Crystal is too young.

- Chucky has been renewed for a third season on USA and Syfy.
- Reginald the Vampire has been renewed for a second season on Syfy.
- Firebuds; Superkitties; and Pupstruction have all been renewed for second seasons on Disney Junior.
Cancellations
- Snowpiercer has been canceled at TBS despite having filmed season four. (And despite Warner Bros. Discovery claiming they were done with write-downs for a while.) The show is being shopped to other services.
- Uncoupled has been canceled at Netflix after one season.

- A Phineas and Ferb revival is in the works at Disney.
- 1266, a comedy pilot about a singer/model turned phone sex operator starring Gabourey Sidibe has been ordered at Hulu.
- Second Wife, a dark comedy starring Emma Roberts and Tom Ellis, has been ordered at Hulu.
- Black Twitter, a docuseries, has been ordered at Hulu.
- A docuseries about Spanish King Juan Carlos I has been ordered at Sky.
Casting News
- John Corbett will reprise his role as Aidan on And Just Like That on HBO Max.
