PREPARE THE RAVENS: August 21st is the official premiere date for House of the Dragon, the prequel series to Game of Thrones. The series follows the story of the Targaryen civil war known as the “Dance of the Dragons,” which marked the beginning of the end of their long reign over Westeros. And the good news is, the story has already been written and completed by George R.R. Martin, so they can’t fuck the ending up.

Here’s a thing I learned today: recent Oscar-winner Troy Kotsur helped develop the Tusken Raiders sign language in The Mandalorian.

Elliot Page revealed that his Umbrella Academy character has officially been renamed, and will go by he/him pronouns, mirroring his own transition:

The New York Times talks to five of the six still-married Bachelor/Bachelorette couples to learn how they managed to stay together. (Spoiler alert: they’re just like every married couple you’ve ever known.) The most interesting detail in this article is what is NOT in it: Rachel Lindsay and her husband Bryan Abasolo. Lindsay cut ties with “Bachelor Nation” after the entire Chris Harrison kerfuffle, and she appears to be taking that divorce seriously. And yes, I’m still working on my recaps.

Georgia is considering changing its very generous tax policies for film and TV productions, pulling them way back. The current tax policy helps support tens of thousands of jobs in the state, multiple studios, and, as I can attest personally, education programs like SCAD’s, making Georgia one of the biggest centers of the film industry in the world. However, there’s a lot of political tension between Hollywood and Georgia, and like Texas and Louisiana before it, Georgia might be willing to kill their film industry because they don’t like the idea of giving “Hollyweird” tax credits. Stay tuned.
