‘Milk’ is today’s main character on Twitter thanks to a bonkers CNN piece

“Milk” is trending on Twitter today because CNN aired a piece about how the price of milk is going up, and impacting the average American family. Sounds innocuous enough, right? See if you can figure out why people are dunking on this story:

Now, to be fair to this stupid piece, if you watch it, there are 12 members in this family featured, which, OK.

But a few things:

1. If you’re trying to demonstrate the impact of inflation on the average American family, maybe don’t use a family with 12 members? and …

2. Even if there are 12 people in your family, you’re going to tell me that each and every one of you drinks an entire gallon of milk a week? But …

3. Milk prices have actually only increased about 3% in the past year, so all of this is complete bullshit.

But please, go on and have a public tantrum about being called out for this:

Smartmatic, the voting machines company, is suing Newsmax and One America News Network over false claims about election fraud in the 2020 election. GOOD. NOW SUE MORE PEOPLE. 

Paramount+ and Showtime’s streaming platform have more than 47 million subscribers, which is pretty good!

Roku will be removing Porn Hub and other porn channels from the platform, which I’m sure will be super popular with people.

The creator of Squid Game, Hwang Dong-hyuk’s first three movies are now available on Netflix:

The movies are Silenced, a film about a school for the deaf where the students are being abused:

Miss Granny, about a 70-year-old woman who suddenly turns into a 20-year-old:

And The Fortress, a historical drama set in the 17th century.

But if you’re looking for something a little more Squid Gamey, Netflix has you covered there, too. Alice in Borderland, a violent Japanese series from last year with a similar theme as Squid Game, has seen a boost in viewership in the past month or so thanks to the popularity of Squid Game. Here’s the trailer:

H’oh boy, this Rust story is getting ugly. The armorer in question, Hannah Gutierrez Reed, is now suggesting that someone deliberately placed the live rounds on the set in an act of sabotage. Basically, she and her lawyers are implying heavily that “disgruntled” former camera crew members may have something to do with the incident instead of, you know, incompetence on the part of an untrained and inexperienced armorer who was doing double duty as a prop master. But who knows?

In any event, Dwayne Johnson has pledged to not work on sets with real weapons from here on out, which is a big deal coming from a megastar like him.
