foolish watcher

Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of ‘The Bachelorette’ may very well be dead and buried. Maybe. If we’re lucky.

Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences will honor Genie Francis with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Daytime Emmys, and it is well deserved.

Taylor Frankie Paul gave away the ending of her season of The Bachelorette, all but confirming that ABC will never air it. I could still see a universe in which Hulu streams it at some point, but ABC is going to wash their hands of it and her. Anyway, Doug Mason proposed, she said yes, and then promptly dumped him for her toxic ex.

I have no idea what to think of the “Meghan Markle joins The Gentlemen” story now, to be honest with you.

Prime Video has upgraded their Ad Free tier to “Ultra,” whether you like it or not.

The AV Club makes an interesting argument that prestige TV is now using the third episode to be its most experimental, following this week’s installment of Lanterns (which was excellent — if you’re not watching, you should be).

Evan Rachel Wood is mad at Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman. Meanwhile, Sandy is out here talking about UFOs.

Broadway will dim their lights on Tuesday, September 8, in honor of Dolly Parton, Tim Curry, Clive Davis, and Louise Lasser.

Suddenly, CNN’s Scott Jennings isn’t so sure Mitch McConnell will be returning to the Senate later this month. We know, Scott. We all know.

Something called “Million Dollar Pitch,” a Shark Tank ripoff being held by the White House in which five people will pitch their business ideas to Dean Cain and Nicki Minaj for a not-million-dollar prize, will happen soon because that’s definitely something people voted for.

Hey, they don’t want you to vote. Please make sure you can. (And consider voting early and in person. It’s going to be messy out there.)

If you are in Texas, you can check your registration here. (And be sure to check a few more times before October 5th, as they intend to keep purging.)

If you are anywhere else in the country, check your registration here.
