I once had a cow try to tear down a fence to attack me for reasons I still don’t understand, which is to say, I get it, Bambi:
@1jolly1 Bambi is not a cow fan 😭❤️
Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

“A policy of appeasement always leads to more conquest,” said Jon Stewart in response to everything that is happening with the administration and the media. He’s worried about the future of The Daily Show, which is also on a Paramount network, in the midst of ALL THIS. And with good reason.
As Pajiba points out, even if Shari Redstone settles the preposterous lawsuit President Dingus brought against 60 Minutes for the Kamala Harris interview, there’s no evidence that he’ll then allow the Paramount/Skydance merger to go through. Just look at how he’s treated Columbia University, or the law firms who capitulated, or ask Tim Cook and the other tech titans who are being threatened with high tariffs after having bent the knee. One more time for those in the back: “A POLICY OF APPEASEMENT ALWAYS LEADS TO MORE CONQUEST.”
So this is news to me because I don’t live in these corners of the internet, but there are rumors among the MAGAites that someone, either Carrie Underwood or Melania Trump, is suing The View for nearly a billion dollars for … reasons. Nope, this is not happening, I promise. Cute fantasy, tho.
The View, because it is so critical of the current administration, is often the target of dumb rumors, like it is being canceled (I have seen that one on Facebook a number of times, and have squashed it myself). But the most baffling rumor that I’ve seen about The View recently is that Elon Musk, via DOGE, paid Whoopi Goldberg $6 million to promote diversity. Do y’all know who DOGE works for? Do y’all know ANYTHING about Elon Musk? But Snopes had to go out there and waste their time disproving this rumor which is, perhaps, the DUMBEST internet rumor I’ve ever heard. We are living in very dumb times.
Speaking of, Jake Tapper continues embarrassing himself.
Dennis Quaid, Matthew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson, and Taylor Sheridan made a bunch of noise, and now Texas is moving towards expanding its film and TV production incentives. Good, I guess (until the Texas legislature gets their panties in a wad, again, about Californians moving to the state).
This probably should go under “Casting,” but my blog, do what I want: Dominic McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton, and Alastair Stout have been cast as Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley in the upcoming Harry Potter series on HBO Max.
I dipped my toe into the Twitter sewer, and the comments about the casting were about what you would expect: there is a LOT of “I can’t believe they didn’t go full woke” nonsense, and an unfortunate but not surprising focus on the young actress who is playing Hermoine — in part because her hair is darker than Emma Watson, in large part because she is the only girl in the trio.
But instead of highlighting the nastiness, I leave this instead:

The Costa Rican Bachelor in Paradise location is a MAJOR upgrade from the Mexico digs.
Robert Irwin isn’t counting out being the next Bachelor. Of course, that requires The Bachelor to be renewed for another season, which, again, has not yet happened.
Sounds like there is going to be a big cast shakeup on Chicago Fire next season (a shakeup I’m sure has everything to do with the storytelling and nothing to do at all with the slash in the budget).
Oops, sorry (not sorry) Meghan Markle haters.
Shane Gillis is bad at his job.
Jason Isaacs regrets being a messy bitch.
Congratulations to Love is Blind‘s very best couple, Lauren Speed-Hamilton and Cameron Hamilton!
#MeToo
A group of women who allege they were sexually abused by Harvey Weinstein have put out a statement in support of the three women testifying against him in his current trial. They specifically note that they put out this statement because of the current “anti-woke” sentiment in the culture that has extended to the #MeToo movement.
Kevin Spacey is out here comparing himself to legendary and blacklisted screenwriter Dalton Trumbo, the idea being that he, too, was wrongfully blacklisted. EXCEPT, the last time I checked, Trumbo was blacklisted for his political beliefs, not because he had been accused by multiple men of sexually assaulting them over the span of decades. But what do I know?
Even Dr. Jane Goodall was belittled, sexually objectified, and harassed.
