Warner Bros. Discovery soon put out another statement claiming that Looney Tunes was included on the list accidentally, but … I don’t know. After the whole Coyote vs. Acme kerfuffle, I suspect they did have Looney Tunes on that list originally, but realized they weren’t going to be able to get away with it without a lot of pushback, but forgot to pull it from the list.
David Oyelowo told The Hollywood Report that he was compelled to do Lawmen: Bass Reeves, because Reeves isn’t well-known enough. And that is certainly true! But I will add, 1. Reeves might actually be the inspiration for the Lone Ranger and 2. He’s given a crucial role in the Damon Lindelof series Watchmen.

New York State’s Adult Survivor’s Act, a law that allowed plaintiffs to file sexual abuse lawsuits that otherwise would have been thrown out due to statute of limitations, expired at the end of last week, leading to a flurry of last-minute lawsuits:
- Axl Rose was sued by former Penthouse model Sheila Kennedy for allegedly raping her in 1989. He denies the allegations.
- Sean “P Diddy” Combs was sued by two more women alleging he raped them in 1991. He denies the claims. Combs has temporarily stepped aside as the chairman of Revolt in the wake of the lawsuits.
- Jamie Foxx has been sued for allegedly assaulting a woman at a New York lounge and bar eight years ago. Foxx denies the allegations.
- Andrew Cuomo has been sued by former executive assistant Brittany Commisso for allegedly sexually assaulting and harassing her.
- New York Mayor Eric Adams has been sued by a former fellow police officer, alleging sexual assault, harassment, and discrimination in 1993.
- Cuba Gooding Jr. has been sued by two different women who allege he groped them in separate incidents in 2018 and 2019.
- Marcellus Wiley, a former NFL player, ESPN analyst, and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills husband, was sued for allegedly raping a fellow Columbia student back in 1994.
- Sebastian Chacon was sued by three women for alleged sexual, physical, and emotional abuse between the years of 2017 and 2022.
- Fashion photographer Terry Richardson was sued by model Minerva Portillo for allegedly assaulting her in 2004.
