Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

Ellen Pompeo’s final Grey’s Anatomy episode will air on ABC on February 23.

In the episode, written by Grey’s executive producer/showrunner Krista Vernoff and directed by series’ executive producer Debbie Allen, it’s Meredith’s last day at Grey Sloan Memorial and the doctors plan a goodbye surprise, while Nick confronts her about the future of their relationship. Elsewhere, the interns compete to scrub in on Maggie and Winston’s groundbreaking partial heart transplant procedure, and Richard asks Teddy an important question.

The Golden Globes ratings were so low on Tuesday, NBC might not renew its contract to air them.

In contrast, despite there being “Harry and Meghan fatigue,” Prince Harry’s appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert brought the show’s largest audience in two years. His book Spare has also set the largest first-day sales record at Penguin Random House.

The least surprising story of the day — possibly decade — is that Jeremy Strong remains in his Kendall Roy costume at all times while shooting the series.

General Hospital will celebrate its 60th anniversary with a special episode on April 1, and with a special episode honoring the late Sonya Eddy at the end of March. (They aired a very brief tribute on yesterday’s episode.)

Speaking of General Hospital, please stop asking Genie Francis about the infamous Luke and Laura rape scene. Y’all know that she didn’t write it, right? And that it happened 43 years ago? And that she shouldn’t be forced to defend it? Let it go, guys.

Former ESPN sideline reporter Allison Williams and ex-producer Beth Faber have sued the network over their vaccine mandate.

Hey, remember a couple of years ago when Mandalorian actor Gina Carano wouldn’t shut the fuck up on Twitter with her terrible takes on the pandemic and trans people and the Jews? And Disney was like “hey, shut the fuck up?” and Carano was all, “LOL NO.” So they fired her? Renewals

Mo has been renewed for a second and final season on Netflix. I’m disappointed it will only have two seasons, but in this environment, I’m relieved it was renewed at all.
Minx has been renewed for a second season on Starz, saving the previously canceled HBO Max series. THANK GOODNESS.
Ghosts has been renewed for a third season on CBS.
All American has been renewed for a sixth season at The CW. This is remarkable because it is the first legacy CW show to receive a renewal under the new ownership.
Criminal Minds: Evolution has been renewed at Paramount+ for a second season.
Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! have both been renewed for five more seasons.
grown-ish has been renewed for a sixth season on Freeform.
Too Hot to Handle has been renewed for a fifth season on Netflix.

In Development

Netflix has ordered a docuseries about the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and a docuseries about the Six Nations rugby tournament.
The Hush is being adapted into a TV series.
The Ashley Madison Affair has been ordered at Hulu.
