Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

SO. Last week Aaron Rodgers went on ESPN’s The Pat McAfee Show and for some broken-brained reason, speculated that Jimmy Kimmel would be on the Jeffrey Epstein list, implying that he was a pedophile. Kimmel responded on Twitter, threatening to sue Rodgers, and Pat McAfee and ESPN apologized. Rodgers has not.

So when Jimmy Kimmel returned to late night last night after the holiday hiatus, he had one or two things to say about Aaron Rodgers:

I spent years doing sports. I’ve seen guys like him before. Aaron Rodgers has a very high opinion of himself because he had success on the football field, he believes himself to be an extraordinary being. He genuinely thinks that because God gave him the ability to throw a ball, he’s smarter than everyone else. The idea that his brain is just average is unfathomable to him. We learned during COVID that he somehow knows more about science than scientists. A guy who went to community college then got into Cal [University of California, Berkeley] on a football scholarship, and didn’t graduate, someone who never spent a minute studying the human body is an expert in the field of immunology. He put on a magic helmet and that G [the Green Bay Packers logo] made him a genius. Aaron got two As on his report card, they were both for the word ‘Aaron.’

GOD DAMN.

As of today on The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers says that he’s “glad” Kimmel wasn’t on the Epstein list, but failed to apologize.

Meanwhile, Pat McAfee, while he did apologize to Kimmel, is out here calling out ESPN executives, trying to get himself fired. Maybe — and this is a gross generalization, I know — but maybe football players aren’t the smartest dogs on the block.

For the last time, Meghan Markle will not be doing your little Suits bits.

Today seems to be about cleaning up the rumor mill:

No, Meryl Streep and Martin Short are not dating, they’re just good friends.

There’s no beef between Oprah Winfrey and Taraji P. Henson.

Tayshia Adams is unconcerned about her ex, Zac Clark, partying with Kaitlyn Bristowe over New Year’s.

Selena Gomez claims she wasn’t talking about Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet at the Golden Globes.

And Paul Giamatti is dating Clara Wong, the woman who played his dominatrix on Billions.

Get well soon, Sara Sidner.

As a fellow middle-aged woman, I feel compelled to co-sign this open letter to Jeremy Allen White. Sir, you have done too much. Please return to your pants.

#MeToo

Jonathan Majors ran to Good Morning America to do an interview following being found guilty of assaulting and harassing his ex-girlfriend. In the interview, he claims to be shocked by the verdict, insists he never hurt the ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, cries some, claims that actually he’s the victim, and refers to his new girlfriend as his “Coretta,” as in Coretta Scott King as in Martin Luther King Jr.’s wife as in he is the equivalent to Martin Luther King Jr.

As many others have pointed out, the interview is straight out of The Boys:

Two more women are suing Nigel Lythgoe for sexual harassment and assault. The women, who filed as Jane Does, are thought to be contestants on the 2003 reality show All American Girl, and the statute of limitations may have expired. Sony Pictures Television has launched an investigation and in the meantime, Lythgoe has stepped away from So You Think You Can Dance.

An employee of Disney and formerly Fox has sued Disney, claiming she was sexually drugged and sexually assaulted by an executive, Nolan Gonzales, and the company knew and covered it up, and discouraged other women from coming forward.

Samuel Theis, who stars in Anatomy of a Fall, has been accused of raping a crew member on his new film.

A woman is using T.I. and Tiny for drugging and sexually assaulting her in 2005.

BREAKING: Burt Reynolds was a bad, jealous, and unsupportive boyfriend to Sally Field.
