Like it or not, ‘Dahmer’ is a HUGE hit for Netflix.

My knees hurt just watching this:

Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

Dahmer is controversial, but it is also one of Netflix’s most popular English-language series of all time. With 496,050,000 hours viewed, it is now the ninth most viewed series after only 12 days.

The all-time top 10 list is interesting:

1. Stranger Things 4 (1,352,090,000)
2. Bridgerton: Season 2 (627,110,000)
3. Bridgerton: Season 1 (625,490,000)
4. Stranger Things 3 (582,100,000)
5. Lucifer: Season 5 (569,480,000)
6. The Witcher: Season 1 (541,010,000)
7. Inventing Anna (511,920,000)
8. 13 Reasons Why: Season 2 (496,120,000)
9. Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story (496,050,000)
10. Ozark: Season 4 (491,090,000)

First of all, I don’t know that if you had given me 100 guesses, I would have had Lucifer on this list. But second, of the 10 series, only 4 of them are the original season. I find this very curious, and I guess this has to do more with how they measure a series’ popularity — by number of hours viewed, rather than the number of viewers themselves.

Jensen Ackles discusses his upcoming Supernatural prequel series, The Winchesters, and teases how they might deal with the way it diverges from Supernatural canon.

The New York Times explores the evolution of the cop drama in the defund the police era.

Finally, Beavis and Butt-head receive their due. (By the way, the new series on Paramount+ is pretty great — that is, if you were a fan of the original.)

Rust, the Alec Baldwin film that had been halted after cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was accidentally shot on set by Baldwin, will resume production following a settlement with the Hutchins estate. Criminal charges still might be brought.

Get better soon, Chris Martin!
