‘The Boys’ trolls Paul Rudd, Disney+ and Fox News

This guy has a huge fan in a wild fox:

So, the team who runs The Boys‘ social media dropped this tweet on Friday — which, you might remember, was Disney+ day. And you should see what voughtplus.com directs you to.

They also had some thoughts about Paul Rudd being named People‘s Sexiest Man Alive:

And I missed this, but they also came for Fox News in the most amazing way:

The Boys will be “a meditation on toxic masculinity” in season three, according to showrunner Eric Kripke. As for when it will return? That remains an open question, though according to most sites, it won’t be until Spring or Summer 2022. Entertainment Weekly has a great roundup of what we know about the next season here, and TV Insider reminds us of where the show has been. JUST GIMME ALREADY.

While we’re on the topic of superheroes, I’m Team Ridley Scott. Sorry, Marvel fans, but he’s not wrong.

America’s Got Talent: Extreme is not on the official NBC midseason schedule (see below in DATES) after a terrible accident paused production, but according to the network, they still expect it to air this winter/spring. OK.

Sesame Street is introducing its first Asian-American Muppet character, clearly in response to the wave of anti-Asian violence that occurred recently. Better late than never, I suppose.

Here’s an example of literal Fake News.

Collider has a good list of shows that abandoned their original premise only to become better series for it. I love that the underappreciated gem, Fringe, makes the list.

Hey, remember that Tom Hardy series, Taboo? Yeah, me neither. Anyway, the creator is still insisting a second season is coming even though it’s been four years since it premiered on FX.

Sad update to the Astroworld story: the remaining hospitalized concert attendee, 9-year-old Ezra Blount, has become the 10th fatality.
