Top Chef is finally FINALLY doing a season here in Houston. A few seasons ago, you might remember, Top Chef did a Texas season, but they wanted Houston to pay up to be included, and we were like, “Nah.” I don’t know if Houston chose to pony up this time around, but if we did, good. 1. The economy in the pandemic world is a very different animal than in the pre-pandemic world, and if this gives a boost to our tourism and hospitality industries, it’s worth it, but 2. It’s time the world sees what we’ve been enjoying down here. And now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go figure out how to stalk this production.

(And honestly, the most unrealistic thing about the series is that the Trump Administration would allow a translator to immigrate here in the first place.)

Cary Fukunaga is out here talking shit about Nic Pizzolatto, and I am SO HERE FOR IT.

We could be getting a reboot of Quantum Leap after all …
