This is an interesting piece about our current mania for true crime documentaries, exploring all the pitfalls of the genre, including the focus on white women to the exclusion of people of color, the lionization of murderers, and the massaging of truth to arrive at a particular conclusion. - Dark Winds, a Western horror noir series produced by George R.R. Martin and Robert Redford (and others) has been greenlit at AMC.
- CURS>R, a horror film starring Robert Englund, has been bought by Netflix.
- The Tomorrow War will probably be getting a sequel at Amazon.
- The Villainess is going to be adapted at Amazon.
- Wimbledon will be sticking with ESPN for the next 12 years at least.
- Arsenal will be the subject of the next season of All or Nothing on Amazon.
- Race for the Championship has been ordered at USA.
- Robert and Michelle King have signed a new deal with CBS Studios (which I’m sure Evil‘s renewal for a third season played into).
- Shonda Rhimes has extended her deal with Netflix.
- Misha Green, the Lovecraft Country creator, has signed an overall deal with Apple TV+.
- Michael Starrbury is also sticking with Netflix.
