Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News
Hey, remember in Succession when there was some question over whether Logan Roy had underlined or crossed out Kendall’s name? Jesse Armstrong, the showrunner and the man who actually drew the line, has your answer:
Succession showrunner and creator Jesse Armstrong confirming if Logan had crossed out or underlined Kendall. He also physically drew the line on the paper so definitely knows the answer #Succession #FTWeekendFestival pic.twitter.com/yXLSOoirF2

And that’s great, but I need to know if Jaryd Mencken took office or not.
The late-night boys — Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers, and John Oliver — have started their own podcast to raise money for their staff during the strike. There have been a bunch of revelations from the show, including that Matt Damon and Ben Affleck offered to pay Kimmel’s writers during the strike, and that Kimmel was prepared to retire before the strike happened. But no story is more amazing than this one by Stephen Colbert:
@strikeforcefive Why Stephen Colbert has the pants of Nicaraguan dictator Anastasio Somoza… #StephenColbert #JimmyKimmel #JimmyFallon #SethMeyers #JohnOliver #Podcast #LinkInBio
Mark Thompson has officially been named Chris Licht’s replacement at CNN.
Disney is being sued by investors over shady accounting practices they allege hid streaming losses. This is interesting in terms of the ongoing strike, as a number of people wonder if one of the reasons the streamers won’t release viewership numbers is because they are trying to hide how successful streaming really is and trying to avoid paying their writers and actors what they are actually owed, or if streaming is actually a financial disaster, and they don’t want investors to know that it’s failing. Stay tuned.
RuPaul’s Drag Race‘s Monica Beverly Hillz has some doubts about her ex Josh Seiter’s story about his Instagram being hacked, and a fake death announcement being posted, claiming he’s a “clout chaser.” HMMM. The mystery deepens.
The royal family vetoed Meghan Markle saying the word “poppycock” on Suits back in the day.
Now Kevin Costner is talking about suing Yellowstone and Paramount because since his divorce, he just hasn’t spent enough money on lawyers.
Speaking of Yellowstone, Lily Gladstone of Killers of the Flower Moon is not a fan.
Congratulations to Jay Mohr and Jeanie Buss!
Congratulations to The Ultimatum‘s SPOILER TEXT: Riah and Trey!
Love is dead. (And let me just be very clear — this nonsense about how he’s been taking care of the kids while touring, and acting like she’s not ALSO WORKING OVERSEAS, has me seeing red. His publicists are working overtime, and it’s not working.)

I ask this sincerely but how is it possible that studios are this out of tune with audiences? Cancelling brilliant TV and then keeping around other nonsense. It's like they're allergic to their own success and longevity.

Jimmy Buffett, Singer, songwriter, author, sailor, and entrepreneur who wrote “Margaritaville” and “Cheeseburger in Paradise” and was the center of the “Parrothead” universe
A poet of paradise, Jimmy Buffett was an American music icon who inspired generations to step back and find the joy in life and in one another.

[1/5] Jimmy Buffett invented his own character, which, in a sense we all do: invent, assemble, inherit, or fall into our inner identity. But Jimmy was the founder of an actual tribe: tens of thousands of us made our way to where he was holding court, just to be near him. pic.twitter.com/x3zTwmL2AE

In 1989, when Jimmy found out I was a “Parrot Head”, he invited me to open for him in Alabama at Ladd Stadium. The show was me, Little Feat & Jimmy Buffett. What a gift he gave me. He even asked me to join him on stage & we sang “He Went to Paris and “A Pirate Looks at Forty”.

And the star of this famous “Margarita Man” cameo in Jurassic World:
When my friends and I evacuated Katrina, we didn’t think we’d be gone from the city for months, or that we’d lose most of our belongings permanently. We packed light, like for a weekend away.
In the week after, it became clear that we wouldn’t be going home anytime soon.

Margaritaville cut us all $3,000 checks immediately after the storm, no questions asked. That money saved lives. They also let employees know that if any of us could get to ANY other Margaritaville, there was a job waiting for us.
Some friends went to Orlando.

In October, the New Orleans Margaritaville reopened. With little fanfare, Jimmy played a solo acoustic show in the bar to help bring people in.
Jimmy Buffett showed up for us when we needed it. He took care of me and my friends. I’ll always be grateful.

Jimmy visited Obama Chicago campaign HQ in 08, I was lucky to show him around. Colleagues came up & said “we love working with Michael”…they thought he was my dad – and he went with it. Jimmy would say “we are so proud” with a big smile.

He created Margaritaville is what he did. He coined the phrases “5 o’clock somewhere” and “cheeseburger in paradise” single-handed.
