TV Man is the hero we deserve: bizarre, baffling and utterly pointless.

We are living in strange times, friends. People in Virginia are being visited by TV Man — a man wearing a TV on his head — in the middle of the night and being left big boxy old TVs and I AM HERE FOR IT. Some 60 families in Henrico County have woken up to find old TV sets at their front doors, with no explanation, and some folk’s Ring doorbells captured the mysterious TV man leaving the sets there. And apparently, he also did this in August of last year, but only left some 20 sets that time. So weird and creepy, and l love it? I hope TV Man meets Pumpkin Man and they become best friends.

And in the end, Shari Redstone won. CBS and Viacom are set to be reunited under the same corporate umbrella. Why should you care? It means that Star Trek, for instance, is set to be the next Marvel-esque property, spread out across all the companies’ platforms. For instance: CBS All Access was not allowed to use any Star Trek characters who might appear in the movies — but that all ends now. Other properties that might be developed across movie and TV include Mission: Impossible, Transformers, and Paranormal Activity, among others. Additionally: “CBS owns classics that any studio would be happy to kick around a reboot writers room, including: Happy Days, Taxi, The Brady Bunch, Laverne & Shirley, Mork & Mindy, Family Ties and Cheers.” Stay tuned.

Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley, stars of the USA reality series Chrisley Knows Best, have been charged by a grand jury with tax evasion and fraud. They have been accused of applying for millions of loans with false information and not paying any taxes between the years of 2013-2016. Which is bold. They insist they are innocent.

The creator of The Haunting anthology at Netflix is saying that The Haunting of Bly Manor is “much scarier than season one.” Also, there will be more of those fun hidden ghosts. CAN’T WAIT. But I will have to because it’s not set to debut until 2020. Boo. TV Guide breaks down everything we know about the season here.

Fans of The OA think the news of its cancellation is actually fake for a very meta reason. If you haven’t watched season two, don’t click the clicky because it will spoil the batshit crazy ending.

Empire was filming at the same corner where Jussie Smollett said he was attacked. BUT WHY?

Whiskey Cavalier is not coming back, y’all, it’s time to let go.

GLAAD is going to honor Schitt’s Creek star and co-creator Dan Levy with the Davidson/Valentini Award.

Wait, James Gandolfini’s son hadn’t watched The Sopranos until he auditioned to play Tony Soprano? What? What madness is this?

Fan of You? It was one of my favorite guilty pleasures when it originally aired on Lifetime, but most people didn’t notice it until it moved to Netflix. ANYWAY, here’s everything you want to know about season 2.

My soap opera people: Helena Cassadine is returning on General Hospital. 👀

I haven’t mentioned it here yet, for reasons, but the film Damon Lindelof wrote, The Hunt, a modern update of “The Most Dangerous Game,” has been canceled in the wake of the mass shootings and the President of the United States complaining that the film was “racist.” Ironically, the film was about a bunch of evil global elites hunting “deplorables” — meaning, the deplorables were the heroes in the film, and therefore actually should have been championed by right-wingers BUT WHATEVER. The point is people are now wondering if HBO will have to alter their marketing for Watchmen, another violent political commentary, but HBO is like, “Nah.” Personally, a series that confronts white nationalism is EXACTLY WHAT WE NEED RIGHT NOW GODDAMMIT.
