Gentleman Jack: An eight-part series about Anne Lister, a 19th century Englishwoman who bucked convention and openly courted women, and is considered by some the first modern lesbian. Series premiere 9 p.m., HBO

American Idol: “Meet Your Contestants” in this two-hour special presentation. 7 p.m., ABC

Eva A-7063: A documentary about a survivor of Auschwitz and the horrific human experiments conducted by Josef Mengele who fought to keep the lessons of the Holocaust alive. 8 p.m., PBS

The Neighborhood: Season finale 7 p.m., CBS

TUESDAY

I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson: A sketch comedy series from the Detroiters and Saturday Night Live alum, Tim Robinson. Series premiere. Netflix

1969: Moon Shot: A six-episode series about the United States mission to put a man on the moon 50 years ago. True fact: my cousin was born on that day. My aunt considered but ultimately rejected giving him the middle name “Apollo.” I still think this was a huge mistake. 9 p.m., ABC

Roswell, New Mexico: Season finale. 8 p.m., The CW

WEDNESDAY

Cobra Kai: SWEEP THE LEG. Season premiere. YouTube

Bonding: A grad student enlists her best friend to work as her assistant in her dominatrix business in this new comedy. Series premiere. Netflix

The Music Man: I feel like we’re all living through this movie right now — except without the happy ending. 7 p.m., TCM

THURSDAY

Supernatural: What are they going to do with Jack, y’all? Season finale. 7 p.m., The CW

Gotham: A new figure emerges from the shadows to save Gotham in the series finale. GEE, I WONDER WHO IT COULD BE. 7 p.m., Fox

The Orville: The best decision I made this year was not continuing blogging this. Season finale.  8 p.m., Fox

2019 NFL Draft – Round 1: Because I know some of y’all care. 7 p.m., ABC

FRIDAY

Chambers: Uma Thurman stars in this new horror series about a heart transplant gone wrong. Series premiere. Netflix

Street Food: This new food series explores street food in Asia and will absolutely make you go get dumplings after watching. (For those of you in the Houston area, may I recommend Wanna Bao in midtown? Get the soup dumplings and the crispy-bottomed pork dumplings.) Netflix

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power: Season premiere. Netflix

SATURDAY

2019 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony: Radiohead and The Cure are inducted and Goddammit, I’m old. 7 p.m., HBO

Full Frontal With Samantha Bee: Not the White House Correspondent’s Dinner: Trump won’t be at this one, either. 9 p.m., TBS

The Son: Season premiere. 8 p.m., AMC

SUNDAY

Game of Thrones: It’s time for the big Battle of Winterfell. Hold onto your butts, and prepare to say goodbye to a bunch of your favorite characters. 8 p.m., HBO

American Gods: “Moon Shadow” is the title of the season finale. That’s all I got. 7 p.m., Starz

The Red Line: Three Chicago families tied to a police shooting deal with the aftermath of the tragedy in this new series. Series premiere. 7 p.m., CBS

  1. I know you have no time with all of these GoT episode recaps and such, but I’ve really missed your recaps of American Gods this season selfishly because I have no idea wtf is going on most episodes. Lol

    1. Oh, I know. I KNOW. I still have four episodes from last season that I just never got around to. BOO, ME.

      1. I’ve never read the source material so I didn’t/don’t know whats coming, but the episode this week was beautiful and ominous and all the things AG does so well. Then the ending through me for a giant loop! No booing! In all honesty, I appreciate what you do here and can’t for the life of me figure out how you pull it all off!
