Here are 25 shows — RANKED! — that you don’t want to miss this fall. (By the way, I hate ranking things.)

So I made this gallery for the Houston Chronicle, “ranking” the fall series that you don’t want to miss this fall. But since we’re friends, I’m going to let you in on a little secret: I hate rankings. I just tried to organize these in an order that I thought the average Chron.com reader would be least excited to most excited to see them. But even that is sort of not true because the top two are really my own personal picks. The point is, lists are dumb.

Screen Rant made a comprehensive list of all the hidden ghosts in The Haunting of Hill House and some of these gave me legitimate chills.

If you were holding your breath hoping, for some unimaginable reason, that Joe Jonas would make a guest appearance on Game of Thrones, I have some bad news for you.

Maisie Williams revealed that Arya’s final scene was filmed alone. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN THOUGH.

Oh, I hadn’t even thought about this This is Us detail from Tuesday’s episode, but it makes sense.

Last night’s American Horror Story was directed by Sarah Paulson, and she described it as “a total nightmare,” that it sounds like Ryan Murphy tricked her into doing. That said, she also said she’d happily do it again.

Here are some Outlander pictures for you.

They are already threatening us with a potential Roseanne cameo on The Conners. No.

The actor who originally played Reggie on Riverdale denied that he conspired with Courtney Love to kill Francis Bean’s ex-husband and steal a guitar that once belonged to Kurt Cobain. 2018, man.

LeBron is a busy, busy man.

Someone tweeted pity for kids for Netflix-era kids because they’ll never know the pain of commercial breaks or having to wait a week for the next episode — or a whole summer for the new season. And I get it, sorta, but honestly, the pain of missing an episode because you had to wash the dishes that night is something that I wouldn’t wish on anyone.

#MeToo

Producer Jason Blum of horror film production company Blumhouse, when asked about the fact that he has not hired a female director for any of Blumhouse’s movies said, “there are not a lot of female directors period, and even less who are inclined to do horror.” OH HONEY NO.

io9 came up with a list of 10 female horror directors that Blumhouse could afford. And Better Call Saul writer Gennifer Hutchison had a different suggestion:

Jason Blum is really sorry, by the way.

Steve Penny, the former president of USA Gymnastics was arrested for tampering with evidence related to the Larry Nassar case.

Kobe Bryant was removed from a jury panel for the Animation is Film Festival over the 2003 rape allegation.

Scribner is going to publish the book from Moira Donegan, the woman who created the Shitty Media Men list, despite the defamation lawsuit against her. The book will be a “primer on misogyny and sexual harassment,” and nothing to do with the list itself.

Renewals

  • Single Parents has been given a full season order at ABC.
  • Elite has been renewed by Netflix for a second season.
