Welcome to day three of our national ‘Roseanne’ nightmare

Before I get to the Roseanne crap, let me bring your attention to one Benje Choucroun, a 13-year-old journalist, who asked Sarah Huckabee Sanders what the Trump administration is going to do about school shootings. Sanders very nearly burst into tears. Good on you, kiddo. It should be noted that she didn’t satisfactorily answer his question, though. (And by the way, I happen to know the Benje’s dad. You’re doing a good job with that kid, Gerard.)

Kathy Griffin, infuriated by Sarah Huckabee Sanders name-checking her in Trump’s list of grievances with ABC, responded in a long twitter thread, explaining what happened to her after her ill-advised severed head photo shoot and how the Trump weaponized their followers to threaten and harass her.

So what’s next in the Roseanne saga? Michael Caputo, a former Trump aide, wants her to join his new streaming service for conservatives, which yes, please, go.

Meanwhile, ABC is trying to figure out if they can put the rest of the cast in a new series. It can’t just be Roseanne minus Roseanne because Barr would still financially benefit from that. Instead, it would have to be a completely new concept.

Tom Arnold has some things to say. John Goodman, however, does not.

Roseanne insists she isn’t a racist, you guys, just her tweets are.

Meanwhile, never forget the true victim of all of this. He sure hasn’t.

(By the way, Brian Ross was suspended and here’s the ABC apology for his report.)

Hey, Samantha Bee called Ivanka Trump a “feckless cunt” and now people are SO MAD AT HER. I suspect I know how Bee feels about this:

Becca the Bachelorette has responded to the whole controversy surrounding Chris Farley Garrett liking Instagram memes about throwing immigrant children over the border, and David Hogg being a crisis actor and its … not great.

“I can’t fault on anyone for what they believe and who’s to say that anyone is truly what they believe in if they just double tap. I can’t speak to that because that’s just not me. I am a strong woman and I do believe in certain things, but again, that’s what’s so great about our country — everyone is entitled to their own opinions.”

Fox convinced WWE to leave NBC for them by telling them that NBCUniversal was embarrassed by them. Sounds about right.

Sesame Street has already lost its lawsuit against The Happytime Murders. (And, by the way, my husband made Fred the puppet lawyer his lock screen on his phone.

#MeToo

Bill Cosby’s victim who finally brought him to justice, Andrea Constand, tells her story on Dateline tomorrow night.

Mario Batali has been accused of inappropriate touching by seven additional women. David Chang says the story is “weighing heavily” on him and that the restaurant community needs a “stronger moral compass.” Yes, and it ain’t just the restaurant business.

Harvey Weinstein has been indicted by a grand jury on rape and criminal sexual act charges.

INDICTED. FINALLY. I’ve been indicted by the media he’s bought out for years to trash me. Now it is a new chapter for both of us. _____________❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 What would others say about You if they didn’t know who You were? Who I am has been told to the world for me in magazines, newspapers, blogs, videos, tabloids. Media, bloggers, sites have been paid by a serial rapist to slut-shame, body shame, and freedom shame me. The narrative of me- my story- has been sold to you as a work of fiction. The media often cuts You when they can, especially if they’ve been paid off to- the journalists and reporters who are safe in their cubicles and do not have to drown in your tears or see the bruises. All they see is numbers. Views. Ratings. And all You were told is that I was a horror show. Someone damaged. Someone off-kilter. Someone not right. Luckily, many worldwide saw through this fiction, sadly, far more continue to hound me with this false narrative without realizing that every evil thing they repeat about me means they are doing the work of a rapist. Here’s what many do not know about me. I have a light spirit. I have compassion. I have adventure. I have a playful side. I am MORE than anger. Or sadness. I have more than they’ve shown. I am all of the colors, just like you. That’s why I made the show Citizen Rose with E! But because of how I’ve been sold in the media- many of the people polled about the show say that they are on the fence about supporting it “someone like me”. Someone. Like. Me. Suddenly though- now that the Monster aka Harvey Weinstein- has turned himself in I’m “validated.” I have always spoken the truth. I know what I have achieved to change the world. I am facing time in jail because I wanted a better, freer society. I have lived a harder life than most could withstand. I know my truth. And now…. for the FINAL episode of Citizen Rose, a show that took blood, sweat and many tears, to simply show what trauma looks like and how we can survive it. I know what I’ve done to change the world. How about you? #weROSEtogether #socialexperiment #womeninbiz #human #CitizenRose #rosearmy #inspiration #justwannahavefun

And Asia Argento is back on Italian TV after being dragged by the Italian media for accusing Weinstein of raping her. Good.
