So it sounds like Omarosa’s ouster from the White House was … something else. According to White House correspondent April Ryan, upon being told “you’re fired,” the once and future reality TV villain cursed out John Kelly, tried to break into the White House residence to talk to Trump and had to be physically removed from the grounds.

Omarosa went on Good Morning America this morning to tell her side of the story to Michael Strahan, and to discount the reports that she fought with John Kelly and had to be physically removed from the White House. She also claims, “As the only African-American woman in this White House, as a senior staff and assistant to the president, I have seen things that have made me uncomfortable, that have upset me, that have affected me deeply and emotionally,” but declined to elaborate for now because she is definitely going to be writing a tell-all.
Strahan’s co-host, Robin Roberts, was unimpressed:

Today’s big news is that Disney and Fox made a deal for Disney to buy “Fox’s prolific film and television studios, its FX and National Geographic cable networks, Fox’s regional sports networks, its 39% stake in U.K. satellite television provider Sky and its international cable networks, including Star India” as well as Fox’s enormous film library and a controlling interest in Hulu for $66.1 billion. The deal is part of Disney’s plan to compete with Netflix when it launches its own streaming service soon, but the entire entertainment business will be shaken by this deal. It’s worth reading the Deadline story at the link for all of the implications.
Oh, and obviously, The Simpsons predicted this merger 20 years ago.
Hey, remember those animated Game of Thrones histories we were promised would be a part of the Season seven DVDs? We finally have the complete Conquest & Rebellion: An Animated History of the Seven Kingdoms, which is narrated by several actors from the series, including Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister), and Aiden Gillen (Petyr Baelish) and Harry Lloyd (Viserys Targaryen) who is as deliciously sassy as ever. If you’re not a complete Game of Thrones nerd who has read A World of Ice and Fire, this is a solid pre-history to the events on the show.

Salma Hayek wrote a powerful and shocking opinion piece in the New York Times detailing her harassment by Harvey Weinstein, claiming that after she rejected his many advances, he did his damnedest to destroy her film Frida, and forced her to include a gratuitous nude scene as revenge. The story she tells manages to still be surprising even knowing all of the horrible things this man has done to women over the years. Read it. He is, of course, denying her story.
The New York Times is reporting that three more women have accused Russell Simmons of rape and a fourth of assault, while The Los Angeles Times has a story with five other women who accuse the music mogul of sexual misconduct. He is denying all the allegations. I certainly hope there are criminal investigations opening up here because JESUS CHRIST.
ABC has yanked The Great American Baking Show off the schedule after multiple allegations of sexual harassment against judge Johnny Iuzzini were made by four of his former employees.
PBS has suspended The Tavis Smiley Show indefinitely because of allegations of sexual misconduct against Smiley. He’s denying all charges, saying this has “gone too far.”
Morgan Spurlock wrote a letter on Twitter declaring that he is part of the problem, admitting that he sexually harassed an employee, raped a girl in college (although he claims he didn’t realize he had) and cheated on his wives and girlfriends. He blames a number of things, but ultimately takes responsibility and says he wants to be better.
Robert Knepper is staying on iZombie despite allegations of sexual misconduct by five women. Warner Brothers says it has done an investigation and found “no evidence of wrongdoing.”
