‘Fear the Walking Dead’ is definitely filming in Texas so I guess I’m stuck recapping it again. ~sigh~`

Looks like that theory that Fear the Walking Dead is headed to Texas is coming to fruition. In their article about adding Jenna Elfman to the cast,  The Hollywood Reporter noted:

Sources say Fear the Walking Dead is also moving its filming location to Texas — a move that was set up in the finale’s narrative as a new villain (Ray McKinnon) set sail for “what’s left of Houston” with Alicia (co-star Alycia Debnam-Carey). That also opened the door for the upcoming crossover with the flagship drama, as speculation swirls that Michael Cudlitz could reprise his role as Abraham. (The character, killed off of the original series in season seven, would still be living in Houston with his wife, son and daughter during Fear‘s timeline.)

Furthermore, while not confirmed that it is the FTWD set, there were some awfully zombified-looking cars and RVs spotted at a filming location outside a stadium in Round Rock recently. So, does this mean I have to go back to recapping this series, and should I recap this past season that I missed?

penny marshall fred armisen ugh sigh eyeroll

Here are a bunch of photos from the Game of Thrones sets that suggest SPOILER! (click and roll over): a battle will take place right outside of Winterfell.

My TV boyfriends Damon Lindelof and Mike Schur were on a panel together this weekend and I missed it. ~sob~ They talked about a lot of things, like how they became buddies, Lindelof’s contributions to The Good Place, sexual harassment in the business and their own complicity and why The Watchmen is the superhero story we need. “I’m all for Wonder Woman and Batman. I grew up on these characters. I love these characters. But we should not trust people who put on masks and say they are looking out for us. If you hide your face you are up to no good.” –Damon Lindelof.

It’s Always Sunny will happen with or without Dennis contrary to earlier reports. And that shitbird Trump forced them to change a joke last season.

The Duffer brothers defend that episode of Stranger Things that everyone hated (Confession: I didn’t hate it, but I get it), and, yes, Kali is most certainly coming back.

Christmas is just around the corner, and sadly this adorable Demogorgon doll won’t be available by then.

American Vandal‘s creators thought they made it perfectly clear who drew the dicks. Were y’all not paying attention?

I love this: Shonda Rimes isn’t “diversifying,” she’s normalizing. (And that’s what terrifies so many.)

The only way to change the culture is to support women. Here is a list of 34 shows created by women. Watch them so that more shows will be made.

What happens to Better Things without Louis C.K.? This piece tries to argue that the series doesn’t need him, but I worry.

This is an interesting piece about reboots and the challenges therein. (But where’s The X-Files?)

Making Sense8 sounds like … a challenge.

That show within a show on Insecure, the slave series Due North? started off as an inside joke on the writers’ names.

Netflix is promoting The Punisher with an email that looks like a phishing scam, which, considering how people have been trying to use a phishing scam against Netflix customers very recently, might not be the best promotional scheme?

Important Investigation.

Saoirse Ronan and U2 are headlining the next Saturday Night Live in two weeks.

Doctor Who has released a two-minute first look at Peter Capaldi’s last Doctor Who appearance:

Kathy Griffin has taken this feud with Andy Cohen to the next level. Let it go, girl.

Erika Jayne and Dorinda hung out together at the Regency and that could be its own Real Housewife franchise.

Harassment Time

Jeffrey Tambor has left Transparent, citing “the politicized environment.” And not, you know, being sexually aggressive with his cast and crew. I’m happy that Transparent will carry on without him, I’m worried about what all of this will mean for Arrested Development.

Al Franken has been accused by another woman of being handsy with her. God damn it. And just after Bill Maher and Chelsea Handler went out of their way to insist he’s not a predator. This most recent allegation does not make Franken as bad as Roy Moore, certainly, but it’s not great, guys.

His original accuser read on The View an apology letter Franken wrote to her, which, to his credit, was very sincere sounding. However, he’s been cut from the airing of the David Letterman Mark Twain special that is going to air tonight on PBS.

The most recent horrifying accusation has been lodged at Russel Simmons and Bret Ratner. Simmons insists it was consensual because I suppose he doesn’t know what “consensual” means. Oh, and according to Terry Crews, Simmons tried to convince him to give his own assaulter “a pass.” COOL COOL COOL. WHAT A COOL GUY.

OH GOD. So, an actress has accused Murray Miller, one of the writers on Girls, of raping her, AND INSTEAD OF KEEPING HER FOOL MOUTH SHUT, Lena Dunham put out a statement supporting HIM. Look! Lena! You can believe your friend, but you don’t have to put out a public statement! And because, completely predictably, people FREAKED THE FUCK OUT, Dunham had to put out a second statement that basically read, “My bad.”

Ryan Seacrest has been accused of being inappropriate with a stylist, but he’s denying it.

Hilarie Burton has come forward with her very specific accusations against One Tree Hill‘s Mark Schwahn.

Matthew Weiner is denying charges of sexual harassment, claiming that he was just “angry.” However, Marti Noxon believes his accuser.

Glenn Thrush has been suspended at the New York Times for harassment allegations.

Jameis Winston, a quarterback in the NFL, has been accused of groping an Uber driver.

TED is dealing with “multiple allegations of sexual harassment and groping from women present at the organization’s conference in Vancouver this April.”

An agent has been kicked out of CAA over harassment allegations.

Harvey Weinstein came up with a list of 91 people he asked investigators to target. Jesus.

Meanwhile, Jessica Chastain has said she was told to shut up in the early days of the Weinstein scandal.

Tig Notaro tries to find the positive in the Louis C.K. scandal; there isn’t much. Meanwhile, Sarah Silverman wants to understand what is behind bad behavior. And Jill Soloway and Lena Waithe have some suggestions on how Hollywood can fix this shit.

NOT NOW, MORRISSEY.
