I’m liking the idea, just wish I could cast it myself. Series premiere. 8 p.m., VH1

The Untitled Action Bronson Show: Late night’s newest host is rapper and chef Action Bronson. Series premiere. 10:30, Viceland

Halloween marathon: Look, there is no rhyme or reason to AMC’s order of the Halloween movies: it goes from 1 to 4 to 5 to 6 to H20 to 2 back to 1 again. 3 isn’t even involved. Just tune in whenever to get your Michael Meyers fix, basically. 8 a.m. AMC

TUESDAY

World Series Game 1: ASTROS!!!!!!!!!!! at Dodgers. GO STROS! 6:30 p.m., Fox

At Home with Amy Sedaris: Our hostess with the mostest finally has her own lifestyle show. Series premiere. 9 p.m. TruTV

Snoop Dogg Presents The Joker’s Wild: Expanding his television empire, Snoop has revived the classic game show, and it might also be part talk show? I’m confused, but am sure it will be a good time. Series premiere. 9 p.m., TBS

Child’s Play marathon: To think, a My Buddy doll inspired a whole horror franchise. 5 p.m. AMC

WEDNESDAY

The Goldbergs: ABC’s family sitcoms celebrate Halloween tonight, beginning with the Godlberg’s 100th episode, in which Adam and Jackie disagree over what their costumes should be.  7 p.m., ABC

Speechless: Kenneth can’t decide which Michael Jackson he wants to be for Halloween. 7:30 p.m., ABC

Modern Family: Phil and Claire have a crisis over how enthusiastic they should be about the holiday now that the kids are grown. 8 p.m., ABC

American Housewife: Katie is excited to receive her first “Boo!” 8:30 p.m., ABC

Channel Zero: Season finale for one of the most disturbing shows on television. Seriously, if you haven’t seen this, go binge it on Syfy.com. John Carroll Lynch has never been more terrifying and he’s Twisty the Clown for crying out loud. Season finale. 9 p.m., Syfy

American Humane Hero Dog Awards: Who’s a good boy? 7 p.m., Hallmark

Frontline: Putin’s Revenge (Part 1): A look at Putin’s grievances with the U.S. and his efforts to exact revenge. Or, as our President would say, “FAKE NEWS.” 9 p.m., PBS

THURSDAY

The Orville: “Ed sends a team to find missing anthropologists on a planet similar to 21st-century Earth; the mission goes awry when they realize the planet uses a public voting system to determine punishment.” YEAH, THIS SHOULD BE GREAT. 8 p.m., Fox

Drag Me to Hell: One of Sam Raimi’s best — scary, hilarious and fun, this little gem of a movie is among one of the best horror movies of this century. So far.  11 p.m., Syfy

’70s Sci-Fi Marathon: The Omega Man, followed by Logan’s Run, followed by THX 1138, followed by A Clockwork Orange, followed by Soylent Green. I mean, COME ON.  7 p.m., TCM

FRIDAY

Michael Jackson’s Halloween: “When millennials Vincent and Victoria find themselves at a mysterious hotel on Halloween night, they go on a magical adventure of personal discovery.” Um…. 7 p.m., CBS

Blindspot: NBC has moved the FBI tattoo series to Fridays this fall. Good luck, Blindspot. Season premiere.  7 p.m., NBC

A bunch of Christmas movies: YOU GUYS, IT’S NOT EVEN HALLOWEEN YET. STOP IT. 7 p.m., Hallmark

SATURDAY

The David S. Pumpkins Halloween Special: Any questions? 10:30 p.m., NBC

Flint: Queen Latifah and Rob Morrow star in this movie about the Flint water crisis, as Lifetime begins to try to make people take their original movies more seriously.  7 p.m. Lifetime

Split: M. Night Shamylan’s split personality thriller lives and dies by the performance by James McAvoy, and boy does he deliver. 7 p.m., HBO

Leprechaun marathon: Beginning with the all-important Leprechaun Origins, because you have to know the backstory, or you won’t be able to follow the very complicated mythology. 2 p.m., AMC

Evil Dead & Evil Dead 2: WHO’S LAUGHING NOW? (By the way, Suspiria airs after this.) 11 p.m., El Rey

SUNDAY

The Deuce: Wait, it’s the season finale already? That was fast … Season finale. 8 p.m., HBO

The Shining: 37 years later, and still terrifying. 9:30 p.m., Spike

Monsters Inc.: True fact: this movie makes me cry. 5:55 Freeform

  1. Be very afraid: IHOP has been running “Holiday” ads and a fourth of HEB’s greeting card section was already Xmas cards. And who sends Halloween or Thanksgiving cards?
