Trailer Park: ‘The Dark Crystal,’ ‘Star Trek: Discovery,’ ‘The Alienist,’ ‘Casual,’ ‘Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland’ and ‘Supergirl’s’ season finale

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance is going to be a series on Netflix, y’all. And from what I understand, Lost writer Javier Grillo-Marxuach is involved so that’s super-duper awesome.

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance is “coming soon.”

Here’s your first real look at the much-delayed Star Trek: Discovery, but considering some 2 million people have already viewed this trailer, this is probably old hat to you.

Star Trek: Discovery will stream on CBS All Access this fall.

The 19th century serial killer series The Alienist is headed to TNT and it looks good! But it’s still weird to me that Dakota Fanning is all grown up — I kept thinking this was Chloe Sevigny.

The Alienist is “coming soon” to TNT.

“He just wants to be Mike, a normal American dad.” Uh, OK.

Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland will air on Lifetime on Monday, May 29.

I want to like Casual. I really do. It’s got a terrific cast, it looks great, it can be very funny. But it always feels …. insincere. At least to me. But hey! Third season’s here.

Casual returns to Hulu on Tuesday, May 23rd.

Oh my God, the season finale of Supergirl is entitled “Nevertheless She Persisted.” I love it.

Supergirl’s season finale will air Monday, May 22nd on The CW.

  1. Anyone with an interest in TV writing should check out Javier’s podcast, Children of Tendu. If memory serves, he tells about being hired by a show, post-Lost, and being told to just make up crazy stuff as the show goes along. He didn’t name the show – but he was talking about Helix, wasn’t he?

    1. He had to have been. That was one of the most unhinged series I’ve ever watched. I kinda loved it.
