If you’re looking for something new to watch I’ve made a handy list of 20 shows you might not have heard of that you should check out. Now, if you’re a regular reader of this particular blog, you probably HAVE heard of most or all of these, I’m not going to lie to you. But I still think you should give them a chance.
Amazon has released information about its five new pilots, including one from Gilmore Girls creator, Amy Sherman-Palladino.
AMC is giving Chris Hardwick a year-round talk show, Talking with Chris Hardwick, which will air when there is no Walking Dead to fill the time. HOW DOES CHRIS HARDWICK HAVE TIME TO DO ALL OF THE THINGS HE DOES? ARE THERE MULTIPLE CHRIS HARDWICKS? DOES HE HAVE CLONES?
USA has cancelled Eyewitness after only one season.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer is 20 and you are SO OLD. You should celebrate by following the Twitter account, Bad Buffy Outfits.
Oh, and hey, Daria is also 20 because YOU ARE SO OLD.
Despite the couple who stars in Flip or Flop getting a divorce, HGTV is giving the series five — FIVE — spinoffs, which seems like overcompensation.
Ryan Murphy used to get notes from the WB asking, “Could this character be less gay?” LOL LOL DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE DEALING WITH?

A quick roundup of Trump TV news that has nothing to do with Jeff Sessions or Russians
Alec Baldwin is co-writing a satirical book about Donald Trump with Studio 360 co-host Kurt Andersen.
And Alec Baldwin would be very interested in filling in for Trump at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Call him, guys.
Also interested in filling in for Trump at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner: Conan O’Brien.
While we’re on the topic: CNN is inviting journalism students rather than celebrities to sit at their table on the big night. So that is a Nice Thing.

OPRAH IS GOING TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT! Except she totally isn’t, guys.
Meanwhile, the Obamas signed a book deal for $65 million dollars. I know this is not about Trump or TV or even the free press, but as a former publishing employee, I have to say this news made me do a spit take. GET IT, OBAMAS.
Trailer Park
Well, here’s just a very creepy trailer for Charlize Theron and David Fincher’s Netflix series, Mindhunter. It debuts in October.
And here is an even creepier trailer for the upcoming Netflix series, Dark, which appears to be a much spookier German version of Stranger Things, minus all the 80s nostalgia.
Netflix also released the official trailer for mystery series 13 Reasons Why. It debuts on March 31:
Casting News
- Bobby Moynihan is set to star in Me, Myself and I, the CBS comedy pilot, meaning NO MORE DRUNK UNCLE ON SNL. (Possibly. If the series gets picked up.) (But it does suggest he’s done with Saturday Night Live. Which, considering he’s been on for 10 years is understandable.) (But I am still a little bummed by it.)
- Taye Diggs is going to star in Doomsday, ABC’s drama pilot.
- Oliver Hudson is going to co-star with Jenna Fischer in Splitting Up Together, ABC’s divorce comedy pilot.
- Robert Cabral, who was fantastic on American Crime, is joining the cast of Mayans MC. Trust me, when this series finally comes out, he’ll be the character you can’t take your eyes off of.
- Serinda Swan is going to be Medusa in Marvel’s Inhumans pilot.
- Natalie Alyn Lind (The Goldbergs) will star in Fox’s Marvel pilot.
- Ally Walker (Sons of Anarchy) is going to star in the Fox comedy Ghosted.
- Gabriel Chavarria (East Los High) and Melia Kreiling (Tyrant) have joined Fox’s Behind Enemy Lines pilot.
- Kenny Johnson (Bates Motel) and Lisa Esco (Kingdom) are going to star in S.W.A.T., CBS’s drama pilot.
- Elliot Knight (American Gothic) is joining Life Sentence, a CW pilot.
- Justin Chon is joining ABC’s pilot, Deception.
- Chace Crawford is going to be in the third season of Casual.
- Rahul Kohli (iZombie) is going to play a supervillain on Supergirl.
- Ana De La Reguera is joining the cast of Power.
- Danny Trejo is going to host Man at Arms, a weapons reality show on El Rey.

My daughter and I may have squealed just a little at this news.
No. I refuse to believe that Bobby Moynihan will not be on SNL. Ever.
