Watch James Corden’s quiet trip to LAX, Ellen’s explanation of ‘Finding Dory’ and other comedy responses to Trump’s horrific travel ban

Sometimes all you can do is laugh to keep from crying:

Oh, and Trump’s replacement thinks the travel ban is stupid, too.

Big Renewal News!

Great news for The Good Place: it’s been renewed for a second season! Everything isn’t a dumpster fire after all!

So You Think You Can Dance has been renewed for a 14th season on Fox. The producers have sobered up and restored it to its original form with adult contestants.

60 Days In has been renewed for two more seasons by A&E.

In Other Television News:

Peter Capaldi is leaving Doctor Who, guys. I know it’s unlikely, but how about a female Doctor? Or a Doctor of color? Or a Doctor who is ANYTHING OTHER THAN A WHITE GUY?

Oprah Winfrey is going to become a special correspondent for 60 Minutes.

And Carol Costello is leaving CNN to go to HLN for some reason.

Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris will be making her acting debut on Star sometime later this season.

Season 7 of Game of Thrones is going to end in a “huge cliffhanger” according to Maisie Williams, but as long as it doesn’t involve anyone with a baseball bat, we’ll be all good.

Someone please contact Sesame Street and tell them that Kit Harington wants to be on their show. It seems like his agent should be able to handle it, but apparently, they don’t have Sesame Street‘s phone number or something.

And apparently, that UFC fighter isn’t going to be on Game of Thrones after all, if that was for some reason a big deal for you.

Here are all of the nominees for GLAAD Media Awards, including the batshit insane series The OA.

Wait, Tony Hale was in Houston recently?

If you’re a fan of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, you know that sometimes a character starts singing about period sex, as in having sex when you’re on your period, only to be abruptly stopped. Apparently, The CW won’t let them broadcast the song as it’s too filthy for TV, so here it is in its full, glorious, kinda gross form:

Pilot News:

CBS has given a pilot order for a procedural about the Northeast Regional U.S. Hate Crimes Unit.

CBS has also ordered a Latino Blue Bloods from a producer of Blue Bloods.

Fox ordered a pilot of Controversy, an investigative thriller about campus sexual assault, and The Resident, a medical drama.

Fox also ordered a couple of comedy pilots: Type A, an office comedy that is based on Assholes: A Theory; and L.A. to Vegas, another workplace comedy.

OWN has ordered The Paynes, another Tyler Perry drama. But Love Thy Neighbor and For Better or Worse are getting the heave-ho.
