Dead of Summer is dead in the water over at Freeform.

In terms of everyone else’s chances for renewal or cancellation: The Real O’Neals are in trouble; it doesn’t seem that CBS has much faith in Code Black — and when you name a show that, you’re just asking for trouble, tbh; I wish y’all were watching The Exorcist, but it’s probably going to be cancelled; Supernatural will probably be renewed for that 13th season; and things are looking rosy over at NBC.
The Producers Guild of America will honor James L. Brooks with the 2017 Norman Lear Achievement Award in Television in what seems like an overdue award.
The Goldbergs are working on a spin-off that will take place in the 90s and focus on the character based on my husband’s real life high school P.E. coach, true story.

- How May We Hate You, a hotel comedy, is being developed over at CBS by a producer of The Office.

Yeah, it’s a charmingly funny show; it’s a shame it doesn’t get the love it deserves.
