While you were busy watching the Cubs win the World Series, Beyoncé was busy winning music.

Beyoncé appeared on the CMAs last night to perform her song “Daddy Lessons” with fellow Texans, the Dixie Chicks, and some people were really unhappy about it because they are racist asshats. Here’s the thing: the song is unapologetically country. The performance below is what it sounds like on the album, it has not been countrified for the CMAs. Because, never forget: Beyoncé is from Texas, y’all. And if you listen to it, you come to realize that Lemonade is not just a break-up-and make-up album, it’s actually about Beyoncé loving herself and fully embracing who she is: an African-American, a woman, a mother, a wife, a daughter, a Texan, a Southerner. So while Beyoncé is traditionally regarded as a “R&B” artist, y’all should know that Beyoncé does not have time for your limitations. She transcends your genres.

In keeping with the CMAs here’s a country music edition of “Mean Tweets” featuring both Dolly and Willie.

As for the other big thing on TV last night, y’all know that Parks and Recreation predicted that the Cubs would win this year, right?

These Nike and Budweiser ads that ran back-to-back last night are pretty terrific:

As is this SportsCenter ad:

And the New Orleans Saints posted this 2005 ad on Facebook with the caption “the waiting room is empty” to congratulate the Cubs and it was perfect:

And now we’re done with sportsball, promise.

Kevin Can Wait is losing a showrunner, but gaining an Adam Sandler guest spot.

Here is a theory that Breaking Bad is the prequel to The Walking Dead. It most definitely is not, this is complete nonsense, but it’s fun nonetheless.

Jane the Virgin had some pretty significant plot developments recently. Here’s how they’re handling it.

The good news: LGBTQ representation is at an all-time high on TV. The bad news: TV keeps killing off their LGBTQ characters.

Oooh, Scientology, Leah Remini is COMING FOR YOU.

If you don’t have Showtime, Stephen Colbert’s election special will reair on CBS on Friday of next week. Heavily edited, I assume.

Here are the floor plans for the houses in Arrested Development, Breaking Bad, Buffy, Gilmore Girls, Mr. Robot, Sunny, Sherlock, and Stranger Things.

There is a casting notice out there for a new conservative news network that sounds a lot like Trump TV which the Trump campaign keeps insisting isn’t happening. OK. Sure.

Aubrey Plaza and Michael Cera almost got married. Wait, what?

Scandal promises the election results are in. IF ONLY. Anyway, it returns on January 19th.

And Lee Daniel’s new series Star will debut on FOX on December 14th.

NBC might be back in the Tina Fey/Robert Carlock business. They’ve bought The Sackett Sisters, a comedy about a pair of sisters who perform an act of heroism and have to deal with their new fame.

In other development news:

Netflix renewed Longmire for a sixth and final season.

And Famously Single was renewed by E! for a second Brandi Glanville-filled season.

R.I.P. Dave Broadfoot, Canadian comic actor.
